Awesome music!!! The alternative music scene
Recently I played popular alternative music song 'Midnight City' by alternative music band M83. I highly enjoyed the song, finding it highly enjoyable and a good basis for the future music scene of alternative music.
Alternative is often described as a mix of pop and rock. Rather than hard rock, it has been described as 'soft rock' or even 'limestone rock'(Chris Martin describing his band's music).
After listening to the songs currently in the iTunes top ten (alternative), I must say, I am impressed. The songs are unique, refreshing and as a general rule goods songs. I'm really excited about the future of alternative music.
The artists are really creative and experimental, and my favourite alternative albums are:
All Coldplay albums(Parachutes, A Rush of Blood to the Head, X & Y, Viva La Vida and Death and All His Friends, Mylo Xyloto)
Torches by Foster the People
Tongue Tied by Grouplove (single)
Midnight City by M83 (single)
Brother by Matt Corby (single)
Moonfire by Boy and Bear
Making Mirrors by Gotye
You've Got the Love by Florence + the Machine
Love Love Love by Avalanche City
And a whole lot more!!!
I am extremely excited about alternative music on 2012!!!

Little Girls and Modern Politics
Recently I was reading CY@CY's blog at cy8cy.com.
I came across this article which featured a short story describing the attitude of many of our modern politicians:
I came across this article which featured a short story describing the attitude of many of our modern politicians:
A politician was seated next to a little girl on an airplane. He turned to her and said, “Do you want to talk? Flights go quicker if you strike up a conversation with your fellow passenger.”
The little girl, who had just started to read her book, replied, “What do you want to talk about?”
“Oh, I don’t know,” said the congressman. He smiled smugly. “How about the global credit crisis or stimulus packages?”
“OK,” she said. “Those could be interesting topics. But let me ask you a question first.”
“What’s that?”
“A horse, a cow, and a deer all eat the same stuff—grass. Yet a deer excretes little pellets, while a cow turns out a flat patty, and a horse produces clumps. Why do you suppose that is?” the girl asked.
The politician, visibly surprised by the little girl’s intelligence, thought about it. “Hmmm, I have no idea,” he said.
To which the little girl replied, “Do you really feel qualified to discuss the global credit crisis or stimulus packages when you don’t know poop?”
And then she went back to reading her book.
This attitude is evident in the controversial world of politics. Whether a change will be adopted, however, lies in the future. Hopefully it will be in 2012, given the Europe crisis and the Middle Eastern revolutions.
Wishing everyone a wonderful year and for the record, I do not own the picture.

Girl receives mansion for 16th birthday
Texas musical instrument retailer Dave Anderson purchased the 6000 square foot home for his daughter's 16th birthday. His daughter, Kevyn Brooke had joked about her father buyin the mansion, and ironically her father did.
He decorated the house with a pink bow and gift tag, and then drove her there as a surprise. He repeatedly had to tell her that it was her house.
Previous owner Dr. Jesus Guevara had also bought the Dallas mansion as a surprise for his wife.
Mr. Anderson had been caring for Kevyn as a single father since his wife's death when Kevyn was five months old.
(The mansion, which was named 'Belle Nora'. For the record, I do not own the picture.)
